"What an excellent day for an exorcism." (Thanks, and request for feedback)

Thanks so much for your interest in this game! This one took off much faster than We Will Not Go Quietly, which is cool because I think it's maybe an altogether sexier looking game?
A little mood music:
Yeah, that's the theme for The Exorcist, of course, which is maybe the first horror movie I ever saw that really scared the hell out of me. Interestingly enough, as much as that was an inspiration, my original impetus for putting this game together was the scene in The Two Towers where Gandalf frees King Theoden from Saruman's influence. (You can still see that idea in the "Catatonic King" draw in game...)And as before, a big thanks to InnocentGoblin for creating the Standing Ovation SRD, which really lit a fire for me and almost immediately inspired at least four game ideas for me, of which this is the second. Look out for the other ones soon.
I'm looking for feedback!
I'm pretty happy with how this turned out, but I'm still pretty new to creating games and would love some opinions and guidance to help me develop/improve the game before the jam ends in a few weeks. There are some particular areas I'm looking for feedback on, but I'm happy to hear any thoughts -- I'm sure there's stuff that hasn't occurred to me!
- The look: just very basically does the book look good? Can you read the words and do you like the artwork? Is it easy to follow and laid out well?
- The mechanics:
- Are the instructions clear?
- Do you feel like you want more or less character specificity?
- Are the storytelling mechanics clear? Does tying different story elements each turn to the cards' suit work or does it feel too constricting?
- Success/failure conditions: are the card counts too high/low? In the original version of this SRD you don't have to "succeed" to move to the next phase, and so I expect players will sometimes fail multiple times per phase of the ritual.
- Did you feel too tied to the rulebook as you were playing, or did it feel natural to refer back to it?
- Sensitivitiy: I'm drawing on a lot of Catholic stuff, but I do want to make this game playable in any setting, a religious horror applicable to any number of traditions. Am I pulling that off?
- The structure: are the steps currently laid out in a way that makes sense? Does it make sense that expulsion is separate from endgame? Does it feel like there should be more steps?
And again... anything else!
